The purpose of women's ministry is to provide women with a break from their roles as the nurturer and family caregiver so that they can be renewed and revitalized through the support of other women, prayer, and reflection.
Our ministry to women includes:
Small Faith Group for Mom's
This group meets twice a month on Thursday mornings in the Vercelli House. They spend time praying as well as reflecting on and discussing the Sunday readings from the perspective of a mom. Child care is offered.
Women Small Faith Groups
A morning and evening group is offered especially during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Typically their gatherings are based around the Sunday readings. Lectio Divina has been used as the prayer style with these groups. No experience with Lectio Divina is needed and women are welcome to join us on an ongoing basis.
Annual Women's Retreat
Our retreat this year is Thirsty People...Living Water @ Schoenstatt Retreat Center: March 23 -24, 2012 starting at 7 p.m. until Saturday afternoon 4 p.m. - click here for flyer
Women's Spiritual Book Club
These women gather on the third Wednesday of the month to discuss the book they read for that month. The books are typically about spiritually or Women's issues. It is hoped that participants will be able to read a book a month.
Special Events
Throughout the year we plan special mornings for women such as a Sunday morning brunch with a speaker, a Day to Pamper Yourself with Yoga and Massage, a game night such as Bunco.
