W.A.Y. SUMMER 2012 MISSION TRIP

St. William youth (14 or older) will be joining the youth from St. Joesph, St John Neumann and St. Mary Parishes for this years mission experience. We will be traveling to Scranton PA. We will brighten the homes and lives of Scranton's citizens by providing strong helping hands and hearts.

Scranton is a proud community which was built around the mining of "black diamonds" - anthracite coal.  Towns throughout the area were built on the backs of immigrant men and women who labored in the heavy industries of the 19th and 20th centuries - mines, rail yards, ironworks, and textile mills.  But today these industries have virtually collapsed, and life is a struggle for many.  Elderly people on fixed incomes can't afford to move.  Young people who remain find little work.  Bring God's healing love to the descendents of those immigrants who came to build new lives for themselves - and ended up building a new country.

Join us for an experience of a life time!
