Catechist

Catechists (teachers) are volunteers who willingly share their time and their faith with the teens of the parish. Our class lessons are volunteer-friendly. There is a curriculum guide, and support from the CF Office and other catechists. Training opportunities, inservices and many resources are provided. The John Paul II Center of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has training, resource material and Catechist formation, Catechsis for Catechist in the Archdioece of Milwaukee.

There are many learning opportunites for Catechist to take advantage of in our parish. As we recieve information from the Archdioece or other parishes will email this out to you and post on this page.

All catechists are interviewed to make sure that the gifts and talents they are willing to share are compatible with the goals of Youth Ministry. All catechists must agree to federal and state background checks and to attend one SAFEGUARDING ALL GOD’S CHILDREN session on protecting our children. Our goal is to maintain a safe environment for all God's people.  You can learn more about SAFEGUARDING by clicking the button on the Home page of our web site.

Each year a number of new volunteers are needed as catechists and as substitute catechists.
