Welcome to St. William's Youth Ministry page. We are very excited that you wish to spend a moment and learn more about our Ministry.

"Youth Ministry is the response of the Christian community to the needs of young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the larger community."
Renewing the Vision- A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, published by the Conference of Catholic Bishops

The Bishops have given us goals to help us build lasting and strong Youth ministry programs. These goals are:
 1. To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
 2. To draw young people in responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.
 3. To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

These goals take each young person in a different direction. We encourage faith throught out the young person life. We want their time at St. William to be personal and life changing. In our work with young people we also include the 8 components of youth ministry:

Advocacy
Adults listening to young people.
Pastoral care
Helping young people cope with life and succeed.
Justice and Service
Helping the poor, hungry, homeless, and the less fortunate.
Evangelization
Spreading the Good News about Jesus.
Catechesis
Learning about what it means to be Catholic.
Prayer and Worship
Mass and all forms of prayer.
Leadership Development
Helping youth become leaders.
Community Life
Safe relationships for youth.
